It’s already been a week since my time at Leach Pottery came to an end (for now at least). Learning pottery in Cornwall so close to where I grew up, meant more to me than I expected. Funny to think I spent half my life unaware of this place. We

The last step - unloading. With heightened excitement and anticipation we opened the kiln, hoping that everything made it through the final firing. The relief that I felt when all of my pieces came out with no cracks. As our time in Tajimi came to
Glazing. After spending so much time and devotion to throwing, trimming, and assembling, I found this final step the most intense. We helped Sensei load the gas kiln and watched him seal it shut. All that was left to do was put our faith in the kil
